The objective of our research is to find similarity between the common parts of known RNA secondary structures, and consequently, find the overall similarities between the whole RNA secondary structures. For a newly discovered RNA, finding similar RNA structures can be helpful to find a clue to its functions and the class of similar RNAs in a database. Currently, we are working on developing new algorithm for the purpose.
