ITC19 Linux: Hands-on Introduction, Installation and Configuration

September 14, 15, & 16, 2004

This three day comprehensive course in Linux provides the participants the knowledge and skills required to install, configure, administer and perform everyday tasks as a Linux user on an Intel based computer. Also covered are: boot managers, the X-Windows system, system management tools and utilities, web services, and application programs. These are illustrated through various examples and hands-on exercises. The completion of this intensive hands-on workshop will allow attendees to make full use of the services and utilities provided by Linux.

Instructor:

David M. Fellows is a Principal of Fellows and Carr Inc. specializing in Open Source software solutions. Prior to establishing Fellows and Carr he was a member of the Faculty of Computer Science at UNB for 29 years. He pioneered the use of Linux at UNB and has been using it as a work environment since 1996.
