Biography:

Dr. Paul Cook received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 2010, and joined the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Computer Science in 2014. He works in the areas of natural language processing and computational linguistics. Dr. Cook's research interests include lexical semantics, word sense induction, multiword expressions, social media text processing, and corpus construction and analysis. He is also particularly interested in applications of natural language processing in lexicography for building better dictionaries and keeping dictionaries up to date.
