Figuring out who deserves marks for participation in a class is always tricky. Here is the system that we will follow in this class. When you participate in class, by for example asking a question, then send me an email summarizing the exchange. I will use these archived messages at the end of the term to assign marks. Of course you should be truthful, since, ethical considerations aside, I am likely to have quite a clear memory of the lecture that just finished :-).
